Hand Spun & Hand Woven Blanket
Half the yarn was spun from natural sheep color, i.e., white and dark brown and the purples were from a friend who raises her own sheep and dyes her wool. The blanket was woven on a Finnish Toika loom in plain weave and the fringes were braided to finish it off. Very soft and lofty.

Bio
My introduction to fiber began at the Van Wyck Homestead Museum in Wappingers Falls, NY in 2000. There, I met and learned from the best spinners! I was in love! I learned to spin wool on a wooden handspindle until I mastered it like a pro. From there I bought a spinning wheel to go faster! My wool yarns were piling up so that I went to Marymount College in Tarrytown, NY to learn the art of weaving. I felt like I was home. I have been inspired and learned from so many incredible fiber artists through the years. I've shared my love for fiber at 4-H Fairs, teaching one on one. Most of my work has been sold. I always say, "So much yarn so little time!" I'll never be able to keep up with all my ideas for spinning yarns, weaving and knitting but I will dye trying! (a little play on words!)
